With 10 years of real estate investing experience, Matthew Martinez has carved out a niche in foreclosures and distressed properties by building a team of experts that specialize in working with loss mitigation departments of banks to negotiate short sales and pre-foreclosures.  He has structured several other types of creative real estate deals such as no money down, lease options, seller carry back financed, but he finds that short sales offer the most challenges to his creativity.  “Being open minded to new ideas and staying creative while building win-win scenarios has been the biggest contribution to my success as an investor”. 

Matthew has been able to help real estate agents get seemingly hopeless deals closed and helped several home owners out of difficult situations at the same time.  “When everyone gets what they need from a deal everyone wins.”  He uses the services of real estate agents on both the buying and selling of his properties and finds them to be an important part of his success.  “Having an investor friendly agent as part of my team has helped me be more efficient in my career.  The agent has to have an understanding of what I’m looking for and what I need from him to get the deals done. With this understanding we work well together and reach each other’s goals.” 

Matthew is a proud father of four children who started investing in real estate to have a lifestyle of being able to spend time with family.  He enjoys outdoor sports and has a real passion for meeting new challenges in and outside of his career.
